Absorb. Contain. Dispose.
Your safer and more dignified solution for infection control around vulnerable patients and efficient clean-up in care, clinical, and home settings
SafetyGel 20x20 Super Absorbent GelPads rapidly absorb and solidify up to 4 litres of fluid per pad, effectively trapping bodily waste and associated odours for secure disposal. Featuring a much larger surface area than our SafetyGel sachets or 10x10 pads, GelPads can easily cover large spills or line the base of bedpans and sharps containers to help reduce free liquid and minimise the risk of cross-contamination from hazardous substances, supporting infection control protocols.
Ideal for placing in bed pans, sick bowls, and other clinical or hazardous waste containers, GelPads are also suitable for pulp urinals, commodes, wash bowls, and a wide range of fluid spillages.
Features
- Safer for Vulnerable Patients: Non-toxic & non-irritant. Large surface area protects vulnerable patients from attempting ingestion
- Rapid Absorption: Within 2 minutes, fully absorbs up to 4000ml (4 litres) of fluids, including vomit, urine and blood
- Improved infection control: Minimises the risk of cross-contamination, protecting users, staff and carers
- Versatile Applications: Suitable for use in sharps containers, pulp urinals, sick bowls, bed pans, commodes, wash bowls, clinical waste, and for general fluid spillages
- Macerator Safe: The pad, along with pulp items, can be safely macerated. Alternatively, dispose of via the appropriate clinical waste channel
Directions for Use
- Place a SafetyGel GelPad directly onto the fluid or spill, or into a container ready to collect fluids.
- Wait two minutes for fluids to gel, adding more pads if necessary to fully absorb the fluid. (Absorption will vary according to fluid viscosity.)
- Once fluid has solidified, dispose of contents via the appropriate clinical waste channel or your local disposal route. Always follow local, regional, or national waste disposal guidelines.
Ideal for use in: Hospitals, nursing stations, ambulances, clinical settings, aged care, incontinence care, and at home.
SafetyGel is also available in: Patented Water Soluble 2g or 7g Sachets, 475g Shaker Pots, 1.5kg & 4.5kg Large Tubs, 10cm X 10cm GelPads, and Vomit & Urine Bags.
